Lenses help for Nikon D7000

I have recently upgraded my Nikon D40 to a lovely Nikon D7000.

When I had the Nikon D40 I could only purchase AF-S lenses which generally was more expensive than other nikon lenses of similar spec if I wanted to be able to auto-focus.

Now I have the D7000 please can someone confirm to me if 'any' nikon lenses will now work (ie auto-focus) with this new camera? I am aware that all my AF-S lenses will work but I have seen a few reasonably priced second hand Nikon AF lenses which I am interested in purchasing but I want to ensure the lenses will work (ie auto-focus) with my new camera.

Please can anyone let me know if there are any lenses that wont work, ie auto-focus with my new camera?

There are lots of lenses that won't autofocus on your camera and some that won't even meter but that's because they are old non-AF lenses.

Any AF lens will AF on your camera.

To be honest, on a crop body the only non AF-S lenses worth getting are the primes IMHO.

Yes, AF and AF-D lenses will work on your D7000.
