Light painting a cone shape

Hi guys,
I'm stumped with this one, how to a light paint a perfect cone shape, just like a traffic cone.

A two foot stick with a glowing string hanging from its end, and a weight at the string other end (cant remember what that light rope is called)

Hold the stick and string vertically and wobble it in circles, you should see a cone shape spin at the end of the wobbling stick.

I think.

EL wire will do it however its not to bright, I would use my Lenser V24

So how would you do the shape Kev? just draw it with a good paint hand? ..id find that so tricky i think, Im just pondering, pondered buying some lensers etc. ...its not easy to draw beautifully right?

It would be very tricky to get perfect and having never tried this. Attached the lenser to a push bike wheel at the angle you require, hold the wheel vertical and rotate?
