North England Lighthouses NW England and Wales

Bidston Hill lighthouse near Birkenhead, albeit 2 miles from the coast!

Hi,

Here's some info about the lighthouses round Anglesey

https://www.wanderingwelshgirl.com/lighthouses-in-anglesey/

There is also one at Rhosgolyn which is on a small island off the coast so is not accessible.

There is also this one

St Tudwals Lighthouse - Llyn Peninsula

which again, unfortunately, is not accessible.

I'm sure there are others, but off the top of my head I can't think of them.

Don't forget to let us see any images you take.

Good luck,

Howard

There's another one on Anglesey that I don't think anyone has mentioned yet on Llanddwyn Island (edit: it is in the article linked above). Further up the coast in Lancashire there is Plover Scar between Preston and Lancaster. Both of these are only accessible at low tide, so need a little bit of planning

Have a look at the Trinity House website. It has a map of the lighthouses (and lightships) they maintain, with photos.
