Thanks only learned how to do the borders last night, i think the borders really helps with this pic also

in photoshop CS
set the pic to something like 500 wide x not sure on the vert bit
make a new layer
set canvas size larger than the pic (/edit / canvas) i think only used it last night.
filled the layer with grey 50% or what ever the setting is
click the layer to ammend the settings an just tick all the 1st 5boxes (bevel being last box i ticked inner shadow / outter shadow etc these ones)

voila ......thats it @
