Just got my new Canon 450d and took it out for the first time last week, to a grassy area in the local wood. I'm very new to photography but I'm here to learn so CC very welcome. All shots were taken with the 18-55mm kit lens.

Thanks for the comments guys.
I'm quite pleased with them, but am looking forward to getting a 55-250 + extension tubes so I can get in a bit closer. All the shots were cropped because I was shooting with my kit lens and I think all were taken at about 30cm (min focus distance of lens).
Hopefully next time I go out I will be able to catch a grass hopper facing me, I tried for ages but when ever I got close they turned their backs.
