i used polariser and a 3 stop nd filter to slow down this shot
of the falls near derwent water in the lakes
i know its not the best compasition but i think i like it.

I think you're very nearly there with this one, I'd crop the top off to remove the bright white of the sky as it's distracting, perhaps try and tone down the white of the falls just a tad.

They are very nice greens and whites.

Saying that you like it so take what I say with a pinch of salt.
