Non UK Lofoten (or possibly Faroe Islands) May or June?

I’m looking to get a weeks photography/hiking trip booked for May or June, have any of you experience of Lofoten or Faroe Islands at this time? Lofoten looks significantly cheaper. Car rental is massively cheaper for a start!

I’d be interested in other similar locations if there are suggestions. I’ve been to Iceland so would like somewhere new. I will also be hiking part of Kungsleden in northern Sweden this year.

Quite a few flights to get to Lofoten - I think at least 3. I follow and speak with Melvin Nicholson (sadly not of this parish) who probably would give you good pointers as he is regularly up there.
