Nice set of different subjects John. For me it would have to be #3 and #4, always a sucker for good St Pauls shots.

I love number 3!
How did you achieve such a great result?
I'd love to know what settings/lenses you used?
and if any post-processing was used afterwards?

Thanks for all the comments folks, they are all 24mm 1.4G on the D700 at f1.4-1.8 as far as I remember, deliberately tried to stay under f2 to see how it did.

Very litle PP on these, just white balance correction and a bit of dodging on the blown highlights (e.g. the dome of St Paul's & the clock faces). The 24G produces such great colours and contrast that hardly anything needs doing.

3 would be my favourite, it's just a shame about the street lights seeming so bright though... Great results nevertheless

Thanks folks, I'd been to London a few times but always managed to miss out St Paul's before. It was a shame there was so much building work going on around it with railings that obscured a lot of the views from the street and kept you from getting close, #4 was a case of 'hold camera over top of railings and hope'. Would love to revisit when all the clutter has gone (y)
