Long exposures of Suffolk

SomeHave been inspired by the long exposure group on Flickr to go out and have a go myself.

Here's my first attempts. Lot to learn yet though, like making sure you know what you're going to be taking shots of as its very dark, take a torch and knowing when the tides going be in etc.

All the shots below were taken in complete darkness with exposures between 2 and 10 minutes.

First attempts, before my UV filter got caked in salt from Saturday

Quite pleased with how these turned out, but I think rather than the clear skies of the last couple of nights they might have benefited from a little cloud.

Hey I like these a lot, pic 7 for me its fantastic, did you add much light to this one to pick out the detail?? Also what is typed on the shell is it actually on the shell or added later? Something about voices!!
 
Lovely shots indeed.

I think that is on the shell... its The Benjamin Britten shell sculpture on the beach of Aldeburgh Suffolk.... had the usual hoo-ha when it was put up of half the residents liking it and the other half moaning!!
