Looking for some feed back

In the second picture, the chap is showing off his catch. His face is as important as the fish and should be well lit. Otherwise, it is just an anonymous fish.
 
They both look sharp and colourful to me Shaun and there looks to be good detail.

I can agree with John above about the face in the second. Maybe he could have looked up but I think there's also an argument for it just how it is as looking up could look more posed and as it is I can imagine him looking at the fish and then just glancing up as the picture was taken and as it is he's got that moody Batman look :D Good depth fall off in them both.
 
Watch the clutter/distractions... the net(?) in the BG and fishing pole(?) cutting off the corner. You could also have gone with a cleaner lake view for the BG.
There was a perfect spot where there was a walk path and I wanted to shoot it there but he was addiment he wanted it there and another back drop which was also really close I’ll share the pic.
