Hi all,

Just a quick question to see if there is a fix for the above problem. The ring that my hood attaches too on my 70-200 f4 has come loose. A search on Google tells me that it can be fixed on the f2.8's, but can't find anything on the f4. Can anyone tell me if I can fix it myself? Don't really fancy a big bill from Canon from them to do it.

I've done my 2.8 and it was easy, I can't see why the f4 should be any different. Pull back the rubber grip that goes round the focus ring and the screws are under there.
From memory you might need a special screwdriver as it's not Philips screws
 
Thanks for the quick reply admirable. There are no screws underneath the rubber grip that goes over the focus ring.
