My dad's just gone to a Canon SX50is (I think that's what it's called) as his 1DmkIV was getting to heavy for him and he's never really used it (I'm sure he got it to make me drool!), well now he's passed it on to me to use (a long term loan) and wow, what a great camera to use!

Until a year ago I had a 1DmkIII and that was OK, but the AF never really felt the like the big jump that I hoped for. Well, the mkIV has totally changed that and it is certainly what the mkIII should have been, I shot some MX at the weekend at it was rocking, sure, I missed some shots, but most were totally sharp and everything seemed to happen lightening fast.

So basically, thanks dad, for letting me play with this amazing beast and I look forward to finding more chances to have some fun shooting with it.

Only had mine about a year & I love everything about it except the A.F.
Just can't get mine to work for me. :-(

Hmmm, that's a pain, I would get it back to Canon if it is anything less than brilliant. As I said, my mkIII left me a bit down, but the mkIV is great.

I've been trying to mate via cpn but 2 e-mails & no reply yet. :-(

Wish I knew somebody local that had one so we could do a comparison.

I always just phone them, never bothered with email and always managed to get through (even if it does take a little bit of time). Good luck and sorry I'm not closer.

Thanks, I will give them a call.
