The Lowepro Pro Runner 450 seems to be just the job for taking a couple of bodies, a few lenses, a small lappy and the associated wires.

I'm flying with BA.

Has anyone (a) got personal experience of this bag, (b) taken it with them on a BA flight?

No personal experience of that bag, but the Lowepro website says its external dimensions are 50.5 x 34 x 29cm. That 29cm is a massive problem. BA allows 56 x 45 x 25cm for carry-on bags and I don't think there are any airlines which would allow 29cm.

As Stuart says the bag is not airline carry on so I wouldn't risk it, I use a Think Tank Airport Commuter which is a great bag for the airports, looks small and fits all the gear. I carry a 500mm f/4 with 1.4x on in the main compartment, 2 pro size bodies in one side, 16-35mm & 70-300mm & 135mm in the other side along my LEE filters and battery etc. and thats only in the main compartment!

Thanks all - this is just the kind of info I was hoping for.

Definitely the sort of thing you want to find out now, and not at check-in :)

Edit: boom, Think Tank Airport Commuter bought.
