Lowepro Pro Runner 450AW or Tamrac Expedition 8x

I want a new camera bag as I've got a lot more kit now than when I bought my current bag.

I'm torn between the above 2 bags. They are both very similar in size and bother good for going out in all weather conditions.

Anyone own either of these? What are Tamrac bags like? I've been told they are very good.

I had the Tamrac 8, this is a superbly manufactured piece of equipment. It will certainly carry lots of camera gear, I found it to be a bit on the heavy side but then I aint very big, never got more that 5' 6" I'm afraid. I offloaded the 8 but as I was so impressed with the quality I got myself the Expedition 6 which is magic. Hope this helps.

That's really helpful. I wasn't too sure about the built quality of the Tamrac as I don't know anyone with that bag. Good to hear good things about them. I like the fact that it's weather sealed without having to stretch a cover over it like with the Lowepro.

I've seen the Expedition 8 for £120 which I thought was good.

Oh don't fret about the build quality of the Tamrac, I've got the Adventure 9 and it's a very well made piece of kit.

I also have a couple of LowPro bags (I'm a bag junkie ) including the huge Vertex 300 which I still use, although I don't recognise the model you posted.

I ended up taking all my kit to a shop and played with a number of bags until I found the one I wanted, which was the Adv. 9, I suggest you do something similar.

I went into camera world where they got in the Lowepro Pro Runner 450AW and the Tamrac Expedition 8.

I ended up buying the Lowepro as it was pretty much the same size but was half the price at £80 whereas the Tamrac was £160 lol.

The bag takes ALL my stuff with room left over. It's very comfortable.
