Thanks peeps, I was a bit distracted by the "other" branch in the first one, and now when i look at the image, that's all i look at

You never really apprecite the plummage of a starling, the colours have only had a tiny tweak in levels for contrast more than anything. It was taken just after a huge downpour if i remember correctly and this little chap was ruffling it's feathers, puffing itself up, just trying to dry-out.
