Yes
I wonder if you can help me.
I have been offered a G5 Mac.
The speck is 2.3 GHZ
4 GIGS
2 No 250 gig hard drives
23”monater
With all the software for photo processing.

Is this still a good spec I now it’s a bit out off date but I can get this for £500.00?
So is this priced right and what do I need to look out for on inspection.

its dreadful, have you got his telephone number by any chance?

Only joking, sounds great to me

If the 23" monitor is the Apple 23" Cinema Display and its all in good order it's worth it. The only thing is if in the future you want to upgrade the OS higher than Leopard, you can't. Snow Leopard 10.6 requires an Intel processor. I use a Powermac G5 2.7 GHz DP running Leopard and am well pleased with it. I have no plans to upgrade it for at least 2 years as it runs all the software I need.

It’s not an Intel processor it is a Mac processor. If I remember right.
Is this a good or bad thing.

If you do a search on ebay you will get your money back if you do not like it. I htink you would on here as well. The powermac, which I think you are talking about is a superb machine. The Intel chip came in, again I think with the later macpro but are a lot more expensive. I considered one at the weekend. Without a monitor the seller wanted £1000
