Macro Attempt at Sepals

I shot these with my po-man's macro lens. I stopped the camera down to f/9 and hand held it to shoot....I think there a little soft, but C & C are welcome!

I like the way the stamens stand out on shot 1.

And the contrast between white flower and pink leaves is striking too.

I like them, but prefer the composition of the third image.

I'm using the Canon EF-S 18-55 "kit" lens with a step-down ring (58mm-46mm). I then took the rear element out of a marco adapter for a video camera and attached it to the step down ring. It's a po-mans macro....
