I like macro, hate insects though
But I seem to get plenty of flies in the garden happy to sit on a leaf for a few minutes at a time for me. I currently have an a200 with the 18-70 kit with a raynox 250 clipped on the end. Which is my best option, Buy some extension tubes for about £70 and use extension tubes with kit lens then raynox as well, or a prime lens at about the same price with just the raynox? I'd love a macro lens, but I think i'll have to wait until santa comes asking for my list later in the year !!!!!

The prime being a 105 or 135mm!

Hi - I don't know what your budget is, but if you're thinking of a 105mm prime why not get the Sigma 105mm macro? Superb macro lens and a superb prime.

Edit - just realised you mention a budget of about £70. That's more tricky.
I don't know much about Sony, but don't all the old Minolta lenses fit. Perhaps you could pick up an old macro lens for that sort of money.
