Macro - First Steps

Took a deep breath and dug deep into the wallet to get hold of a Canon 100 macro lens - time to start learning how to use it.

I'd welcome comments on these 2






I think I've followed the image posting rules, please let me know if I've made a mistake.

Looking forward to some helpful feedback on the photographs - first time I've posted anything.

Thanks Owain, I dashed outside this afternoon to take a few shots inbetween the bank holiday weekend downpours!

I'm looking forward to learning more about macro - it's a whole new world for me.

I just need to find out how to get them to keep still whilst I set up the tripod - I find keeping the 100mm steady by hand is very difficult!
