just wandered if it was worth buying a macro led ring

most of the macro stuff im planning on doing will be out side so would i need a macro led ring.

also are they any good in general

Not used an LED ring, I have a Marumi ring flash and even outside I have to use it on dull days. Have seen some images taken with an LED ring and they produce a decent even light. I dont know if they would be powerful enough for an inside job though. If you can get it at a good price it may be worth finding out instead of laying out £100+ on a flash though.
 
well its only £40 so i may take a punt and see

At the end of the day its a gadget and i like gadgets lol
