Hi,
I have a Canon MR-14EX Macro Ring Lite which I bought to use with a Canon 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro lens. After searching the net I ordered a 67mm lens adapter for the Ring Lite from Warehouse Express, which was on back order.

I have now waited nearly 2 months and still no adapter.

Does anyone know where I can get hold of said adapter, or an alternative method of mounting the Ring Lite onto the lens? Could it be done with stepping rings?

Regards:

Have you tried all the other usual shops? Calumet? The Flash Centre? They might be able to help you out.

I used a 72mm adapter (commonly available for the 180L) and a 72-67 step down ring!

Thanks for that idea Ed, will look into doing that if the 67mm dosn't appear before the end of next week

I have used exactly the idea Ed had. Bought a 67-72mm step-up adapter and used it on the Canon 72mm Macro adapter I have for the EF 180mm. The step-up adapter I bought of Ebay for £4.95 with free P&P.

There has been no 67mm Macro adapters in the UK available since they launched the new lens. I rang around and Mifsuds said they are still waiting and not to hold my breath for it to arrive.

Paul.

I could have written the original post myself. I'm in the same boat, waiting for 2 months.
Bristol cameras told me a while back they had 2 expected end of Jan but they were already allocated.
Seems crazy that canon didn't make enough of these rings when they released the 2.8 IS lens.

To anyone who may be interested, I have contacted Kerso and he informs me that he will have Canon 67mm adapter rings next week.

Regards to all for your replies: Gordon

Thanks Gordon for the information regarding availability from Kerso, that is great news and very good of you to share it.

I have just emailed him to order one.

Thanks again.

Paul.
