Looks like a good deal if you remember to cancel before they take next years subscription.

...you don't cancel the DD with the company you do it with your bank and it should be absolutely no problem.

I took out the five issues for £5.00 with Digital SLR Photography and forgot to cancel my direct debit in time!

No problems with cancelling though...I simply did it through my bank.

So, I've got another few issues to look forward to...

I used to have a subscription for a computer magazine (a Dennis publication - different publisher to the offer you're looking at, I believe) - well beyond the trial/special offer period and when I went to the website to un-subscribe, there were plenty of links for subscribing but no link and no instruction for un-subscribing (not on their FAQ page either). If I recall correctly, my account page (described as "to view, amend or renew your subscriptions") did not offer any option to cancel the subscription either.

After a bit of googling, I decided to stop my DD direct with the bank and not contact the company. That worked with no problems or further ado.
 
Thank you all, have gone for the Practical Photography one. Now just need to add a reminder to cancel the DD.
 
Do you pay £12 up front for the 12 issues or is it £1 per month?
 
Just ordered. I do believe it's up front, it is with trail mag. anyway, and it's the same company.
 
So if the £12 is up front can you cancel it straight away? Or do you have to wait just under 12 months? Thanks

When you set it up, wait for the £12 to go out from your account, you can then cancel it at any point from then upto when it's due in 11 months time.

I generally cancel it a couple of days after it goes out if I'm having a trial of a mag.
