Malcolm Wilson Rally - Finish - Cockermouth

So I went down the road to Cockermouth yesterday to watch the end of the Rally. It was quite a wait because there had been a serious accident during the day that had put the times back.

First to come in were the 1400's

#3 - The winner of the 1400 class

#4 Then the main race winner - Paul Bird - local lad - did good

#5 - The rain came down

#7 - with so much rain I missed the champagne celebration - but here the escape from the rain

#8 Time to go home - It was too wet

yep thats the one Kev - from Langwathby. Used to be with Monster mob ducati.

RobertP - I too was expecting a chequered flag, and maybe a crowd more than about 40 people. - but when the rain came down the crowd went down to about 10 folks. (and I wasn't one of them for long)

Good pictures. I caught the accident on one of the Grizedale stages on my camera which put everyone back. Think it was the 7th car through. Nissan Micra went over and the driver was complaining of a bad neck.
