Two fantastic shots. I prefer the first as the bit of oof stump at the front of the second is a bit off putting to my eye :shrug:

The detail, colours and background on both though are spot on

Yea I wasn't too sure on the second one Nick, but I had a temptation to try it...

I'm really chuffed with the first one though, colours came out bang on!

Yes, I thought the males feet looked in a poor shape, and some claws look upturned

Wonder what that may be down to?

Couple of really nice shots. I think Chaffinch are prone to some kind of fungal infection.

And Belvide, which is not far away. I have seen it a lot worse on some birds, yet they still seem able to perch and to feed.
