Hi all

I had another go at motorsport pictures as I wasnt very happy with my last set. This time I remembered to use the continuous focusing mode on the D70, which made a terrific difference. It works really well.

The event was the Peter Morgan Memorial Race Meeting at Mallory Park on 26 June.

Im far happier with the pictures from this one, but there is still room for improvement.

This is one of the best:

Camera is a D70 using the the 18-70 kit lens. I also took a couple with the 70-300 Sigma APO.

This was also my first time shooting exclusively RAW, which was good.

Comments appreciated. :)

I've been offered stuff well below that standard from trackday photo companies so you're right to be pleased.

Personally I like to dial the shutter speed down as far as possible to get good wheel and background blur but this does seriously impact your hit rate.

i lije it, not bad at all! shame about the shaded area behind though, detracts slightly for me
