Manfrotto super clamp...

Quick question! I ordered one of these through amazon from (a company to remain nameless at this point) and it has arrived unboxed with a few minor marks on the clamp. It is no real massive issue but it looks like it is possibly a returned item.

Can anyone who has bought one tell me if it came boxed?

Came in a plastic bag with usuall Monfrotto paperwork.
If you are not happy, send it back via Amazon Returns.
 
Nice one cheers. It seems to work ok and it is only superficial, but was sold as new so I have sent the company an email...
 
it's a clamp...just use it.

mine are all scuffed up and abused... it's a block of metal, lol...
 
I have notice a growing trend for new items supplied by both Amazon and the Marketplace sellers to have a distinctly used quality about them over the last 6 months. If you're not happy then send it back even though it won't make a jot of difference to its performance - my Super-clamps are 25 years old and still look like new.

I know its a bit pedantic, but if you bought a lens with a scuff you wouldnt be happy if it was marked as new..

Retailers should describe goods correctly regardles of where they are selling it IMO!

Absolutely agree :thumbs: in fact if it isn't in a box/bagged/sealed IMO it isn't new.

Exactly! It's not a lens it's a piece of hardware that's built to be abused, mine have been dropped, thrown around, driven over you name it and all still work just fine

Received an email which seems to clarify things. The shop buys in bulk and receives them in packs of 24 loosely packed together. Probably why they were £16.95 compared to £20+ everywhere else. They have offered to refund my P&P as a gesture which I am more than happy about.

At then end of the day, for me my question is answered - I know it is built to be abused (and probably will be)and a swift polite email has clarified things and what great customer service, it will ensure I buy from them again!
 
All that really matters is, you are happy with the item and price!
