manfrotto with black rapid

Still have to undo it all if using a long lens if you connect rapid strap to the tripod collar though...looks hideous too.IMO

Don't think I'll do it but might try maybe
I have my plates on the lens and camera so use the one on camera for small lens

I use tripods, monopods and the Black Rapid system and I find it very simple to switch between them all - not long winded at all, and certainly not frustrating to the point where I would consider doing this.

He does however make a good point about not hooking directly into the Manfrotto plate loop - i've had one of these snap off in my hands just from finger tightening, and my 400mm now has a Manfrotto plate permanently stuck to the collar.

Would you recommend the t1
I've not got my straps yet only ordered them yesterday
I would like arca swiss but would mean selling all my manfrotto stuff

I didn't know what the T1 was until I just looked it up, but looks great.

I honestly can't fault the Black Rapid system. I find camera straps uncomfortable and unreliable when running up and down a football pitch with two bodies. I like to know my cameras are in place and going nowhere.

Would you recommend the t1
I was happy enough with it supporting a gripped 5D2 and 24-105 and it's a shedload easier if you are swapping between strap/tripod a lot.

Do they have a weight limit
What about a 7D gripped and 70-200 2.8 is mk1

They are fairly sturdy objects, but there isn't a stated weight limit. Having said that, he point of connection with the swivel clip is probably likely to go first....
