SWMBO and I were in Sardinia last week. We discovered that the Orosei area is a hot-bed of marble quarrying. Returning from a day out looking at nuraghe, we stopped by the side of the road to get a shot of one of the quarries.
This is gigantic! Look for the excavators to put things into perspective.
