I also subscribe to a couple of email photography fora that do something called picture a week.
Here are my most recent two efforts:

Lydiard Park, Swindon. Leica M8, 28mm Elmarit ASPH, ISO 160. Metered using a Sekonic hand-held meter.

This is taken at Coate Water in Swindon...
Leica M8, 28mm Elmarit ASPH, ISO 640.

2008-week41-1.jpg

Both shots were processed in Lightroom. Just converted to greyscale, a slight adjustment to curves, boost yellow and green channels to help the leaves pop and then a bit of a sharpen.

C&C welcome.

Cheers

Mark

Nice shots, the leaves really do stand out, I like the way the second leads your eyes with the tree trunks gradually getting smaller.

I've been to Swindon (used to live in Calne) and I've even worked there for three months. My memory must be fading as I can never remember Swindon being this scenic. I prefer #2 with its distinct take on the avenue - just a great angle for the image. Like them both very much.

These images must be attracting no comment as there is nothing wrong with them. They are just spot on.
