Maxtor 1.5TB External Disc + Mac.

Hi guys

How the hell do you format the thing, it tells you too in the instructions and it says use disc utilities - umm, I cannot see a button that says 'Format' ?

I am sure it is very easy, also what is the OSX-Extended ( Journaled ) + the other options, more importantly which one do I need ?

Select the Partition tab and select 1 partition. As to what file format to use I've just used whatever it suggested.

Yeah I tried that and most of the stuff on Google, spoke to a mate tonight and he loves a challenge so is going to sort it tomorrow, as it stands I have got it working but in 2 partitions, whatever the hell that is, all I want is to be able to dump stuff on it !
