Meike MK320 Flash Fault?

Had this flash around 6 months and it has worked fine so far. Came to use it the other day and it wont fire when tilted to any angle other than default straight ahead.

Using on the Fuji X-T1 and when pointed straight ahead I get a solid flash icon on my camera and it will fire. As soon as I angle the flash head the icon starts to flash on the camera display and neither the shot or the flash will fire.

Any ideas?
 
sounds like a loose wire..

funnily enough mine is going back to Amazon today, I have had it just over a month and I went to use it saturday, put some freshly charged Envelops in and it only shows 1 bar, another set the same, some newly purchased Duracells the same.. I wouldn't mind if it had always showed that from day 1 but it hasn't so I have lost confidence on the last ability of the unit.
 
Mine also does that with the battery display but for some reason I can't find record of the purchase in my amazon account. Think it was through a 3rd party but surely will still show in my account?
