Hey guys this maybe of interest to some of you, I've never had a camera with dual card facility, so im reading around here and google and cant really find a difference between the 2 therefore no advantage to which to write to 1st and so on, so i though id try a few simple tests! Ive just had 2 new card delivered and heres what i found!
Both Sandisk cards
SDHC extreme pro 95mb/s 16gb
CF extreme 60mb/s 16gb
CF on hight burst fired shots b4 buffer was full
18 shots, speed to clear buffer 6.4 secs
17 shots, speed to clear buffer 6.2 secs
SDHC on hight burst fired shots b4 buffer was full
17 shots, speed to clear buffer 17 secs
15 shots, speed to clear buffer 16.9 secs
I was surprised how slow the faster card is, so for me my writing file to my dual slots needs to be full size raws to the CF and small raws (for backup) to the SDHC, any thoughts on this?
In the above format CF (lrg raw) SDHC (sml raw) I could only get a 8 frame burst before the buffer was full....... which took 4.1 secs to empty
Hope someone found this useful
