Mercury/Sun

Poor shot as you say but still 100% better than I achieved in rainy Somerset. I'd have been tempted to get on the M5 and keep going north, except from the weather forecast it looked like I'd have to go an awfully long way............. I'm ready for the next one.
 
You tried and now have a better idea how to go about it.

It's not a horrendous image, but one you can improve on :)
 
Another one that ha dst bunnies in the middle of the sun.

Nice and sunny up north....shame I was working

Yes have made some good shots of the sun in the past.....

But this was thru clouds and as usual focus is always a problem. AF worked better than manual, as seeing the sun was limited to several seconds at a time, and then thru cloud!

Hope we have better weather in 2019, and hope I am still shining too!!

I'll correct myself. I think we only see half of it because the sun goes down when it's about half way through.
