It could do with something to give this size perspective....I guess it's large but its impossible to tell just how large with nothing to compare it to..............does that make sense? PS Where is it?

its in arizona, the crater is pretty big. at a guess its a mile across. felt like it when i walked on the rim, its deep too, the stuff in the very middle are about 6ft high. its hard to show the size of it in a photo.

You did well to get enough of the rim in shot to show what it is. Looks pretty big to me

Guess it might have more drama with some longer shadows but is still a good shot.

wow that is BIG its hard to get a scale of the whole thing. Is that the crater east of Flagstaff ??

Of course it could also be a macro shot of a teenager's face!!!

yes its the one near flagstaff, even in november it was very hot, nice hole in the ground though used a sigma 10-20mm at 10mm to get it in, i couldnt work out how to show the whole thing or show its size, took other shots but this one was the only one i was happy with, the area around the crater was a different colour to the rest of the desert due to the material that surrounded the area on impact
