Finally managed to get the cat to stay still for 30 seconds whilst the macro lens was attached to the camera today - this is the result. Comment, as always, welcomed.

I think it looks a bit odd having one eye in focus and the other not.
 
Yes, I can see what people mean about the eye thing, but the chances of getting her to look directly at a camera...EVER...are non-existant! She actually hates having her pic taken more than I do! It would have been better had I gone for a shallower depth of field possibly, and really thrown the other eye totally out , but that 100mm macro is a devil handheld and I just didn't dare go any shallower! :)

Perhaps I'll have another attempt....
