Hi all
Today i picked up a Lumix G10 to replace the canon i sold a few days ago. Could someone please help with the lenses i can use? Am i right in thinking that along with Lumix the Olympus fit. Also i have seen a few pics on the interweb with some of the retro lenes fit.
Any help would be great.
Thanks
Matt

Yup, the micro 4/3 Olympus lenses will fit the Panasonic and vice versa. Old manual lenses can be retro fitted with an adaptor. They will have leica m mount and m39 screw mounts too to use rangefinder lenses on it.

I used to own the Olympus E-P2 with the Panasonic Lumix 20mm 1.7 fitted to it (Doesn't need adaptor). Then I had an adaptor to use my Voigtlander film rangefinder lenses on it.

You can get adapters (from about £20) to allow the use of allsorts of different lenses on micro 4/3......

You can use 4/3 lenses too .. but to be put on a micro 4/3 camera they will also need an adapter.

Be aware that even using the panasonic adaptor there is limited functionality with the majority of the olympus lenses and slow autofocus is a known issue with most that will actually autofocus.

Other than that you can get adaptors to mount almost any lens, but it will be manual focus only and you will have to use either AV or manual mode.

Oh look! A SMALL (dusty) lens too

After you 450D this little Lumix G10 seems a strange choice : the better G1 or G2 might've been wiser but enjoy!
IF you get into manual-focus lenses these cameras are brilliant.

Thanks for all your help. I changed over to this as i was the only one using the 450D as my wife would never use it. So far i am very impressed with the little G10, and my budget would not strech to the G2.
