Minolta 7D

Hi guys

I'm looking at this camera and quite fancy it. Can anyone tell me a little about the focusing system. I'm presuming it's built into the body as opposed to the lenses? Is it fast? Accurate?

Very broad question I know but anyone who has tried one might have some insight.

Try asking on dyxum. Plenty of people there still using the 7D I think.

Thanks - another quickie - can it be used with AA batteries as well as the propriatery battery? What about the grip, does that take AAs or another proprietary batt?
