I'll refrain from saying "they don't make 'em like they used to" because that's mostly a pretty good thing , but by God they were proper Jags back then. My mate had a 3.8 S type in Golden Sand metallic with a white interior - sumptious and quick!

Hmm. Happy memories! I had a 3.8 'S' type too, but in pastel blue.
Went like a rocket, 80mph in 2nd gear and you could watch the fuel level going down

Nice pictures the old cars do have that special something about them and yeah they were used a lot as get away cars.

..... an old photo circa late 1970s ....but my pride and joy

automatic model 3.8L MkII purchased in California, and brought up to Vancouver

my wife drove it for 5 years daily into town - never broke down once...!!.....
