On top of a band paper, natural light, 50 f1.8 with extension tubes???

Nope!

It was using a LED torch for light. A coin on paper, using £5 eBay tubes and the 70-200mm L -- the only reason I used my zoom lens is that I couldn't get close enough to the coin otherwise (using my tripod). I used the zoom lens as it's physically longer.

I'd highly recommend the £5 tubes if you just wanna mess about with macro Photography -- you can get some decent results even with no electronic connection.

Oh, I got one before but it looked scary so I binned it.
