I am looking to get a Spyder screen calibrator, but have read that they are not totally reliable on laptops, giving quite green casts. Does anyone have experience - I have a DELL with their true colour system. Thanks.
 
Dell Truelife? I was under impression it was basically a glossy finish that improved colours somewhat, the panel technology isn't actually changed, someone correct me if I'm wrong. So basically you won't see much change with Spyder unless you have one of those more expensive RGB LED screens that come with Studio XPS range.
 
Works ok with my Dell Vostro (shiny screen option, I think that's Truelife).. and the change in the colour temperature as the calibrated setting kicks in during boot-up is very noticable.
 
Same here, Dell Studio 17 using Spyder 3 Elite. Works very well, you will notice it in the blacks especially. Me and my wife have identical laptops, except hers is uncalibrated.
 
My RGBLED XPS16 calibrated nicely - tamed the over-the-top reds.
 
I have a Dell Studio 1555 with 'Display 15.6in Widescreen Full High Definition (1920X1080) WLED with TrueLife', i.e. it has a glossy finish. I use a Spyder 3 Elite on it and it does the job. No funny colours and looks better for it.
