I heard the same and was advised to get the eye-one, mind you that was by the camera store owner and he did not sell the spyder?

Is that the "i1 display pro" (which seems to sell for about £150) ?
I have seen some reviews saying it's better than the slightly cheaper Spyder calibrator but other reviews which say it's worse so not an easy decision.

I use an Eye One Display 2 and think it's pretty good. Not top end but does the job- easy enough to use and prints come back with expected colours which is the key thing for me.
You'll probably not go wrong with either brand- both are better than none I'd say but then maybe my monitors are rubbish

That looks very similar to the LaCie Blue Eye 2 - I'm sure I read somewhere (tftcentral I think) that it's the same puck just with different software.
Looks like im going to have to buy something then because i did some prints from a shop and they have come out alot darker.
