monitor setting advice with a mac

Ok guys,

i bought a samgsung sync master 2243 a little while ago now,i have just loaded a load of photos up, and i have noticed every photo i look at on the web is very bitty.

how do you set a monitor up to avoid this or am i being a dip???

what Res have you set it up at?
Are you zooming in to make teh web page fill the screen?

Do you have more than one web browser on your computer? If so try comparing the same picture in both - is there a difference? You can set different browsers for different colour gamuts. What colour depth is your monitor set to? Try looking at this post LINK doe everything work as described whilst calibrating your display?

Pardon me if I've grabbed the wrong end of several sticks here...

But....

Isn't the syncmaster 2243 1680x1050 widescreen?

If so, it'd look a bit odd at 1280x1024....
