Hi guys,

I am after a pro monitor preferably IPS/S-PVA and definately not TN.It has to be colour acurate and will be used for commercial photo editing etc.
I'd like it to be 22-24" and ive got £500-£600 to spend.

I like the sound of the Eizo FlexScan S2433WH
and Ive heard good things about the Dell Ultrasharp U2410(although some reported green/pink tint issue).

So What are you pros or indeed no pros using?

Personal experiences and recommendations would be great:thumbs:

I have a Dell 2209WA, which is half the budget you're talking about and uses the technology you're after.
Having said that, a friend of mine has just got his new 27" Mac. The screen on that is simply awesome, and makes my Dell look decidedly ordinary. So I'd suggest you either go cheap with the Dell, or save up for the 24" Mac screen. I seem to remember that they're around £600.

I have the 27"iMac and it is an absoloute beauty! Best screen I have ever seen, let alone used.

I use an HP2475W, colour reproduction seems pretty good to me. For the price I think it's hard to beat and that's even after a couple of years on the market.

I was very impressed with the NEC range at focus, I'd always discounted them on price before, but and will likely be buying at least one ea231wmi pretty soon (about £300 best price) - having discovered it, I'd always go for one over the dell, more expensive yes but 1920x1080 rather than just 1680, and the extra inch - stunning picture too, seems to hold up very well against even the dell 24" one that you mentioned, and doesn't have the colour issues of the dell 24".

Given your budget, I'd buy 2 of them tbh...

I have a HP2475W, cant fault it for editing but it is a pain for other things but thats wide gamut monitors for you. Highly recommend.
Im using a dell2407 at the moment at work and these are no where near as good. Ive seen lots of recommendations for dell monitors but Ive used lots and the Hp beats them all.

Eizo S2411W here, which has been superseded a couple of times by various tweaked model numbers.

Absolutely awesome. Blows away anything Dell have put out and wouldn't swap it for anything other than a better Eizo.

The latest breed of NEC's are pretty good too, as Dave mentions. Watch out for LED backlights, though, the NEC rep at Focus said that they'd not put them in their top-end colour-critical line yet due to colourbalance issues.

Thanks Guys.....Great to see some feedback.

TBH the Eizo was my prefered anyway....Id always discounted the NEC's due to price...but Ill look into it.I saw them At focus too...They like only had 4 or 5 monitors with the cheapest at £1000ish.

Ill take a look at HP too..cheers:thumbs:
