I was utterly privileged today to watch these babies startup, taxi, take off and then the Spit and Hurricane done a gorgeous flypast.

These have been processed on my shiny new UN-CALIBRATED monitor! So hope they are ok?

Thanks for looking (y)

Very nice Andy. Your comments about these wonderful aircraft have made me feel guilty and realise how much I take them for granted. I usually see them every week at Coningsby. I promise to shoot them more often and appreciate them more...

Bless ya! It's easy to forget them mate with all the fast around nowadays.

Thanks for the post (y)

Just got to love the Hurricane in flight, and remember this was the true star during The Battle Of Britain just not as sexy as a Spit

Nice set Andy. Seeing less and less of all 3 together recently.
Dean:)

Hey Andy, I much prefer these than your HDR ones Mate (y)

Love number 6 but think it looks better with the runway cropped out. (only noticed by scrolling down) But a very iconic capture none the less.

I had the luck of having the Lancaster do a 20 min flyby when i was based at Marham on Battle of Britain night. One of the most incredible sounds ive ever heard.

Well done mate,

Very nice ineed.

You certainly are priveledged.

Which airport is this?

Thanks mate.

'Tis Southampton. 'Home of the Spitfire'!!

These were taken on Sunday. Saturday I have some nice static shots.
(In HDR, and people tend to not like HDR!!)

They are on my flickr if you want to have a look ;)
