thanks dave,the shot was taken in B+W mode on the camera,so no conversion has taken place.how do you sharpen it up?i have photoshop 7,but not familiar with it as yet...

hi stan..
what i do is go into filter at the top of the screen.
then scroll down to sharpen.
next move across to unsharp mask

set your sliders around amount 130..
radius 1
threshold about 3

thats not a system just play with the sliders untill you are happy..

just to let you know if you get halo's around your subjects then its over done..
