motorised lenses on D90

I have already begun finding the limitations of my Nikon D40 and have started to contract upgradeitus

Will the lenses that I have work on the D90? They all have the built-in focussing motor for use on the D40, D60 etc.

My plan is to sell the D40 with grip and 18-55 lens for around £265 and maybe my SB600 for around £150 (to be replaced with one from FITP)

I reckon I will then be looking at an extra £150 ish for a secondhand D90 and a gun from FITP.

Yes all your lens will work on a D90, even lens without an internal focussing motor will work as the D90 has a built in motor (providing the lens is an AF model).
Ive not seen many D90's got for less than £500 so you may have to increase your budget.

Yes, I was expecting to pay around the £500 mark for a D90. That is why I will look at selling my SB600 as well.

My flash, D40 with grip and lens should bring me just over £400 I reckon. Then need to factor in a flashgun from flash in the pan.

I just need to find a way of getting it past SWMBO and being without a camera while I source a D90
