Mounting Lens on tripod

Morning all

Just wondering if someone could advise me of how to attach my 100-400 to my red snapper tripod with ball head by using the tripod mount?

Sorry if this is really obvious :shrug:

easiest way is to take the quick release plate out of the head & screw that into the mounting bracket (rotated underneath) of the lens.
click whole assembly back into the head - job done
