Prefer the first one as you have got down to her level. Light is better in the second but you have missed the focus on the eyes which is so important.
Hopefully some portrait experts will be along soon. Looks a good start to me!

I'm no portrait expert, but I'd use a vertical orientation for the second one and I think it would be better if her was was either completely lit or completely in a shadow, this way it looks a bit like aliens are abducting her there
The first one would probably come out a little better with a bounced flash and her whole hands in the frame.
