Following on from Mark's (Big Yin's) thread of his year in film, this is mine.

I realised today whilst buying the Christmas tree that it was almost exactly 12 months since I had my first film camera donated to me, a Nikon f301, so I thought I would post a few pics from my first year and my first thousand film cameras :D. I think I'm settled on the final 3 now : Ross Ensign 16-20, Nikon F3 and Voigtlander Bessa R3a, although I have Yashica on the way

Nikon F301. I really enjoyed using this camera, it made the most fab noise when you took a picture.

Nikon F90. Not my favourite camera, bit too plasticky looking.

Voigtlander VF101. Really loved this little camera, sharp lens and really well built.

Olympus OM-10. Nice compact little camera and some great lenses but I was a little disappointed with the quality of the images, this could however have been my fault.

Nikon F3. What can I say, built like a tank and put a 50mm f1.8 on the front and it takes great pictures in almost any circumstances. I will be keeping this one till it or I fall to bits, it will probably be me first.

......And to continue

Ross Ensign Selfix 16-20. A great English folding bellows camera from 1952, produces brilliant, sharp images and its staying in the collection.

And finally......

My new Voigtlander Bessa R3a with Jupiter 8 lens. I haven't yet done this camera justice but I already love it to bits.

Well, there you are then, please excuse the conceit of wanting to inflict my images on you but I wanted to share my growth (now that sounds either disgusting or pervy) over the past 12 months and to thank all those who have helped me to improve.

Cheers (y)

Andy

some nice looking shots here, im still experimenting with what camera works for me too. ive just started up with film after being brought up in the digital generation so this is my first film year, the results will be interesting :)

Thanks guys, hopefully this year will see an improvement.

Andy

Andy, you posted this so long ago;) that I had forgotten the thread, yes they are great(y) and I have commented on some individual shots in other threads.

I am going and have started, prompted by TGY a twelve month post from Jan to Dec, twelve shots posted of my film year, one per month.

You have to get some shots in first and I will start at the end of April with my first three. Jan to March.

Lets see what happens.:D
