First go at trying some macro, these are done on a 7D, 50mm 1.8 lens at f22 and lite with a fenix torch with this cheap adapter (looks like a filter) thing i got from ebay.

What other subjects are good to practice with ? any feed back be appreciated, I'm thinking of buying some better tubes or a lens much more suited for this type of photography

Very good macro shots indeed. The cheap adapter certainly gives VFM.

The best practice is done in the field I find. Try that adapter filter thing in natural light.

You could get a dedicated macro lens, but you'll also get good results with a set of Kenko tubes on the 50mm.

Down to budget I suppose.

Beware though - macro is addictive ;)
